The faculty Arts

I went the the art exhibit last thursday when i had time. I'm not a super art person so i didn't spend much time about ten to fifteen minutes looking at a glass painting type thing that was on the left side of the room suspended by wires. there was a art class i think art history in there and they were spread around the floor and i didn't want to step on them so i didn't get the objects name or maker. but the painting was of two greek/ roman people there torsos were normal but the lower portions were made of many legs and arms it was a little unusual. but it looking nice and someone put a lot of time into it.

So many question.

Jacob Thomas, 903-413-6214 jacobmichealthomas@gmail.com
 2. What’s your major? What year will you graduate?
wildlife and conservation I graduate 2016
3. Why did you choose a photography class (or photography as a major), and what do you hope to learn from school in general and this class specifically? because it was the most relevant art to choose to complete my basics. I hope to get the training and experience I need to work in the field if I become a warden or not. for this class taking decent photos is all I need.
4. What are your goals after graduation? My goal is to take over the world and own an okapi, but seriously I would like to have a stable job in law enforcement and maybe a family with a wifey and a daughter(probably adopted).

5. What artists, musicians, photographers, writers, movies, books have influenced you/your work?
I am not a super artsy person I do cook and bake a lot though so chef John Mitzewich is a large influence in my style. as for music if its rock I like or if crazy people dance to in in strobe and black lights I like.
6. Where do you get information about current national and international events?
I don't do the news much but when I occasionally see something that sparks my interest I comb though everything I can find on the subject.
7. Are there any important websites that you are referencing for art/photo competitions and/or information? not currently but I am sure there will be I know that pushing the big button makes the shutter noise that's about it.

8. What museums and/or galleries have you been to in the past year?
N/A except I worked for the zoo for a bit over the summer.
9. Have you had any photo projects and/ or training in the past?
Nope none what's so ever
10. What is the value of art for the artist?
to be happy with a high quality object or that they can make money off a ball of mangled mud
11. What is the value of art for the audience?
to look and say "oooooh shiney"
12. Is photography a vocation or an avocation?
its an avocation if that for me I have no intention of profiting form this but the skills will be valuable.
13. What is your passion?
baking(bread and sweet stuff) and saving the little animals.
14.What are you afraid of? What makes you uncomfortable?
nothing much any more used to be spiders and heights but I still get nervous every now and again. I make me uncomfortable.
15. Do you have a passport?
no but ill start working in it soon.
16. Why did you sign up for this class? What do you hope to learn from it?
I hope to learn some basics that I can realistically applied in the field while I am doing research or just to take good photos when hanging out with my people. really its for the credit but I chose this above everything else because its the most useful.

As a side note for a fun fact I also do smoke tricks.
